Time ticks away: John Georges not a candidate for Louisiana Governor
 

gov-mansion 200x149It appears that time has run out on John Georges' running for governor of the State of Louisiana.

As of the end of qualifying, 4:30 today, Georges did not qualify although there were some indications that he would change his mind and run.

In an email response to Bayoubuzz, Georges said at 4:53 Pm, "Yes although the I listened to all the support from insiders in the end I am sticking to my original decision not to run."

   Raymond Crews and Robbie Gatti are headed to a runoff in state House District 8 on April 29 to fill  the seat left vacant when Mike Johnson was elected  to Congress.  Both are Republicans.
    Crews came in first with 41% of the vote, followed by Gatti with 37%..  Two other candidates in the race were Duke Lowrie, who finished with 16%, and Patrick Harrington, who had 6%.
