WASHINGTON – CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell retired from his post Wednesday, after managing the resignation of former CIA Director David Petraeus over an extramarital affair, and defending the agency's performance over the attack on a U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya.
Morell was passed over for the top CIA spot by President Obama in favor of his counterterrorism adviser, John Brennan, who announced Morrell's departure Wednesday.
Brennan said he Morell will be replaced by Avril Haines, currently a deputy assistant to the president and legal adviser at the National Security Council.
One of the political fights that arose from the terrorism incident in Libya consulate early this year and that had become a hot campaign issue, has come to a close.
Four years ago, the card carrying members of the liberal news media were overjoyed at the election of Barack Obama as President. In the process, they abandoned any pretext of fair and balanced reporting.
Ever since he won the first presidential debate, GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has been making inroads against President Obama.
The question, who is the winner of the second Presidential debate last night (and the debate season)—be it, challenger Governor Mitt Romney or President Barack Obama—continues to asked and answered with feisty debate, even on Bayoubuzz.
The tragic murder of four Americans, including our Ambassador Christopher Stevens, in Benghazi, Libya on September 11 has never been adequately explained by the Obama administration.
''we find them (the pictures insulting to muslims) offensive, and we certainly understand why muslims would find these images offensive. anti-muslim images are as unacceptable as anti-semitic images, anti-christian images, or any other religious belief.”
Every day more questions are being asked about the death of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. He was killed along with three other Americans in a brutal assault launched on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack.
