While speaking at the 2013 Faith & Freedom Coalition conference, former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) took a swipe at 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and a GOP campaign attack against President Barack Obama.
Santorum -- who attempted to land the GOP presidential nomination himself -- criticized the GOP for seizing on an an ill-phrased remark by Obama telling business owners, "you didn't build that."
The Romney campaign tied events to the "you didn't build that" line, and the comment was attacked by almost every speaker at the 2012 Republican National Convention.
Once again, the Republican Party has disappointed grassroots conservatives. With GOP votes, Congress approved a catastrophic bill to avert the fiscal cliff.
