According to Ron Faucheux of Clarus Research, analysis of 13 polls reveals that President Obama has a 1% nationwide edge over Romney one day before the election.

While the focus has been on the election battles of Obama vs. Romney, US House of Representatives and U.S. Senate for control of Congress, there are a number of other issues on the ballots in the respective states.  Some are very emotionally-based and hot button.

Throughout the world, wars are raging, dictatorships are suppressing individual freedoms, millions of people are hungry and too many are dying due to inadequate medical care.  

People are early voting in record numbers all over America.  Here in my home state of Louisiana, election participation is up 25% over the presidential election just four years ago. 

The second presidential debate did little to shed new light on either candidate.  For President Obama he gave his campaign stump speech in answer to every question he was asked.  Mitt Romney gave his most compelling argument in favor of defeating the president by saying the American people can do better.
