Obama-Muslim-PicAccording to a six month Gallup survey, President Obama is very popular with only one group of Americans, Muslims, registering an astounding 72% approval rating. It is a much different story among all Americans as the President scores a weak 43% approval rating.

Therefore it is necessary for Jindal to give up his sideline position as it may interfere with his goals and ambitions which are all connected to his high profile all encompassing obsession.

HolderDemocrats know how to play hardball politics, it is in their blood. Usually, Republicans act like gentlemen and prefer to stay within the rules and show proper etiquette. In the meantime, they are being rolled over by the more aggressive Democrats. Finally, a Republican is showing some justified outrage over the latest development in the scandal involving IRS targeting of Tea Party groups.

kerry-weatherAmericans know a few things about Secretary of State John Kerry. Of course, he served in Vietnam and he loves to windsurf. Images of Kerry windsurfing surely did not help him win votes in the 2004 presidential campaign, but, at least, it established his ocean-loving credentials.

The establishment wing of the Republican Party was given a major shock this week with the defeat of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in Virginia. He was defeated by David Brat, a college professor who focused on the issue of illegal immigration and reminded voters that Cantor was trying to negotiate a deal for “immigration reform” with Democrats. Conservatives know that such deals are, in reality, amnesty.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is now making the media rounds promoting her new book, Hard Choices. Initial reports on book sales are not very favorable as the price has already been slashed at outlets such as Books a Million. 

new-orleans-tourismDespite assurances that the violent crime rate is dropping in New Orleans, a new group has mobilized to provide armed citizen patrols in the French Quarter. Aaron Jordan has formed a new group called the French Quarter Minutemen to address the rising crime rate in the city’s most popular neighborhood.
