When Donald Trump announced for President, he made some strong statements about the immigration problems facing our nation. He said that Mexico was “bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some, I assume, are good people." In essence, Trump noted that Mexico was not sending their scientists and scholars to America.

He told his false tale for over 12 years and it was only after an investigation by Stars and Stripes magazine that the truth was finally revealed. Williams gave a half-hearted apology on the newsWednesday night, but implied that he only recently started to weave a false tale. In fact, Williams has told the false narrative for years, including a 2013 appearance on the Late Night Show with David Letterman.
It is not often that a television network forces a ratings leader off the air; however, it happened with Tonight Show host Jay Leno. Despite being number one in the ratings for almost two decades, NBC decided to replace Leno with younger comedian Jimmy Fallon.
