Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Concerns are popping up on Facebook tonight now that the supposed drunk driver who ran over two cyclists, killing one of them, is out of jail.
The Facebook event urged thousands of Baton Rouge residents to call city leaders and law enforcement officials today, with the ultimate goal of putting Joseph Branch back in jail.
Branch allegedly had a blood alcohol level of four times the legal limit when he hit and killed Nathan Crowson on Perkins Road January 21.
It was his second DWI.
Branch bailed out of prison on a $90,000 dollar bond, but concerned cyclists say, he shouldn't be allowed to drive the streets of Baton Rouge.
