Incest alleged in Bayou Black

A man from Bayou Black who police say had sex multiple times with a 12-year-old female family member was arrested Sunday.

Travis Marcell, 32, 120 Daneco Court, Houma, sexually abused the child for several months, Terrebonne Parish sheriff's deputies said. The abuse was reported to detectives Saturday.

Tickets available for Governor's West Bank Luncheon in March

Tickets are on sale for the annual Governor's West Bank Luncheon slated for March 19 at the Alario Center in Westwego. The cost is $40 each or a table of eight for $320. Doors open at 11 a.m., with a buffet luncheon served at 11:30 a.m.

Nearly 900 people attended the annual Governor's West Bank Luncheon at the Alario Center last year.

Proceeds will benefit the non-profit Cafe Hope , which teaches at-risk youth culinary and life skills, on the Hope Haven campus in Marrero.
