
A deadly intersection that's been a hot button issue for months in one community could finally see change, thanks to the concerned drivers in that area.
The Department of Transportation and Development is holding an open house Wednesday evening to discuss proposed changes at LA 1 and Sugar Plantation Parkway in Addis.
Ann Browne, the sister of LSU head football coach Les Miles, was one of three people to die at the intersection in the past year.
Elise Jean Boudreaux died in a crash at the same spot
on Dec. 17. Her mother, Thelma Bizette, was also in the car at the time. The 87-year-old held on for nearly two weeks after the accident before she passed away as well.
"Somebody loses their life at that intersection, there should well be every precaution taken to make it safe," Miles said.
