INDIANAPOLIS — Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is saying people should look to Statehouse Republicans for answers.
Jindal told those at an Indiana GOP fundraising dinner Monday night that governors like him and Indiana's Mike Pence are providing the answers to dysfunction from Washington. Jindal spoke to about 800 Republicans in Indianapolis.
Jindal spent much of his speech praising education changes passed by Indiana Republican leaders in 2011 and says he is leading the charge for similar efforts in Louisiana. He also chastised U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder for trying to block implementation of school vouchers in Louisiana.
Pence has frequently talked about leaving Washington to focus on more action at the state level and aired a new campaign-style video trumpeting his accomplishments. Pence and Jindal were congressmen before becoming governors.
