New Orleans, La. - In advance of tomorrow's season opener against the Atlanta Falcons, the Saints organization sent the following news release:
The New Orleans Saints will host the Atlanta Falcons in their season opener on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 12:00 p.m. at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Champions Square will feature Karma during Sunday's pre-game festivities and the LSU Tiger Marching Band will perform at halftime of the game. Fans will receive a 2013 Saints schedule magnet courtesy of Mercedes-Benz.
NFL Bag Policy: To provide a safer environment for the public and significantly expedite fan entry into Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the Saints announced an NFL policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the stadium. Fans can go to NFL.com/allclear for more information.
Special Pre-Game Presentations: Prior to the game, the Saints will have a special presentation for Jerry Romig who recently retired after serving as the team's PA announcer for 44 years. The team will also recognize former Saint Steve Gleason as his foundation, Team Gleason, will be the Saints Charity Spotlight for Sunday's game. With the participation of over 5,000 fans in the Back to Football Run presented by Chevron on Aug. 31, the Saints will make a donation on behalf of Saints fans to Team Gleason during the pre-game presentation. Sunday's pre-game festivities will also include a special thank you to Saints fans for achieving the eighth-consecutive season-ticket sellout in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
