Rooftop burglar takes cigarettes, change from convenience store

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police are searching for a burglar who stole cigarettes and hefty chunk of change from a local convenience store.

Tory Thomas, 43, is wanted for simple burglary of the K & T Community Store at 3733 S. Claiborne Ave. on June 12.

Police say Thomas stole 19 cartons of cigarettes and about $150 in coins from the store after breaking in through the roof.

Thomas was identified by security footage and property that he left at the scene of the crime according to police.

There is a $2,500 reward for information leading to Thomas' arrest and indictment. You do not have to give your name or testify to receive the reward.

Anyone with information is asked to call CRIME STOPPERS at 822-1111.
