NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -
High pressure will keep most rain away from the region as we head into the start of the new week. Rain chances today and tomorrow will remain less than 10 percent.
An upper trough will begin to erode the upper ridge and allow a weak frontal boundary into the area, helping to trigger showers and storms. So for the next few days, high temps will not reach extremes – low- to possibly mid-90s, but nothing to help cool us off.
A few showers will return by Wednesday, and rain chances will increase to around 40 percent for Thursday and the Fourth of July. The holiday, however, will not be a wash out!
