The suspects arrested Thursday in connection with Sunday night’s double homicide in the Lower 9th Ward will remain in jail for the foreseeable future after they were denied bail on the most serious counts.
Blair Taylor, 20, and Jeffery Rivers, 25, were identified through Crimestoppers tips and were arrested Thursday morning in New Orleans East.

Taylor was booked with two counts of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted first-degree murder.
A magistrate commissioner set bail at $5,050,000 for the attempted first-degree murder counts and a count of possessing stolen things but denied Taylor bail on the two counts of first-degree murder.
Rivers was booked with two counts of being a principal to first-degree murder and five counts of being a principal to attempted first-degree murder.
