Joseph Nelson, 23, was booked Monday on two counts of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Police said several men opened fire on a group of people on a porch in the 5400 block of Burgundy Street at about 8 p.m.

The shooting killed Jasmine Anderson, 16, and Terrance McBride, 33. Police said McBride was the target of the shooting, which they said was drug-related.
