Tropical Blog: Tropical Depression Four Forms

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The area classified as INVEST 96-L is still showing little to no signs of organization this morning.

If there is any attempt at circulation, it appears to be just along the northern coast of Puerto Rico and any interaction with land would make development very difficult.

At the moment, convection extends from in the Atlantic, through the islands and into the central Caribbean.

Models take the wave toward the southern Bahamas where strengthening is more likely and then northward toward an upper trough by early next week.

Models at the moment keep the storm away from the East coast, but it is too early to tell. Impact for the Gulf looks very minimal.
