NOPD: Two men wanted for attempted kidnapping

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans Police are searching for two men who tried to kidnap a woman Saturday. The incident occurred at 9:00 a.m. near the intersection of Decatur Street and Franklin Avenue.

According to police, the 28-year-old victim was approached by an African-American man in his mid-forties. The man grabbed the woman and held her at gunpoint. He forced her over to a black SUV where a second man was waiting inside.

After telling the victim to get inside of the SUV, the victim fought with the man and was able to escape.

She suffered minor scratches to her body, but was not brought to the hospital, according to police.

The suspect with the gun was described as an African-American man with short salt and pepper hair. He is around 5'8" to 5'9" tall with a thin build and a gold top tooth.
