LSU drops fourth straight in loss to Florida

LSU Sports Information GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Freshman left-hander Kirby Snead pitched 4.2 innings of scoreless relief Sunday, and third baseman John Sternagel drove in three runs to lead Florida to an 11-7 victory over LSU and a sweep of the Southeastern Conference series at McKethan Stadium. The Tigers are 20-8-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the SEC. Florida improved to 19-9 overall and 6-3 in conference play. LSU plays host to McNeese State at 6:30 p.m.

LSU baseball game at Florida postponed; doubleheader Saturday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 4 LSU’s baseball game at Florida Friday night was postponed due to heavy rain. The teams will play a doubleheader beginning at noon Saturday. The second game will be 30 to 45 minutes after the first one. The third game of the series will start at noon Sunday as previously scheduled. The CBS Sports Network will televise Saturday’s first game, and it can be heard on the LSU Sports Radio Network.
