Mark Ingram wasn't worth $5 million to the New Orleans Saints for the 2015 season in May 2014 when the team declined to pick up a fifth-year option. The Saints probably aren't willing to venture that deep into their pocket at this point either even after Ingram's best season in 2014. There are a handful of running back-hungry teams lurking in free agency with money to spend and playing time to offer.

With each running back that is released in 2015, the market becomes more cluttered. Already, the transaction wire is littered with veterans such as Steven Jackson, Reggie Bush and Peyton Hillis. That could be good for the Saints, who would like Ingram back if they could come to an agreement on a reasonable price. With so many running backs around, the waters might not be as warm for Ingram as previously expected.

Moore, 31, signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2005, and was with the team for eight years before he signed with the Steelers in 2014. He was due $1.5 million in 2015.
