Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge turns the big 3-2 today but while in previous years we may have seen the royal hitting the hotspots of London for a night of partying, the new mum is believed to be spending this year's birthday celebrating with her family.
The Duchess is marking her 32nd birthday today but with Prince William in the middle of his first week at Cambridge University, as part of his ten week agricultural course, it's thought Kate will be spending most of her birthday day with her mother, Carole.
The low key celebrations are a marked change from Kate's past birthdays with the Duchess and Prince William known for their love of a good night out before they got married.
Kate celebrated her 26th at one of her favourite old haunts, Kitts in Belgravia, enjoying a raucous night out with pals. While hotspots like Boujis are within stumbling distance of Kate and Wills' Kensington Palace home, the royals are unlikely to make it a wild night out tonight, especially with their five-month-old son Prince George at home.

Instead Kate is expected to enjoy a cosy evening with her closest family and friends with Clarence House confirming to EntertainmentWise this week, that the Duchess will be celebrating "privately".
Kate and William have a tradition of organising each others birthdays so here's hoping Wills has got something special planned for when he gets home from a day at uni.
Last year William treated Kate, her parents, brother James and sister Pippa to a night out at the Royal Albert Hall to see a Cirque de Soleil show, with seats in the Royal box.
This year there have been rumours that William has something extra special planned. After meeting Taylor Swift at a charity event at the end of last year, reports suggest that the prince has asked the US chart-topper if she's available to meet his wife as a birthday gift.
As well as some London celebratios, it's also thought that the couple could escape their capital base for a few days to visit Kate's parents at their home in Bucklebury, Berkshire. After spending Christmas with William's family at the Queen's Sandringham estate, Kate will no doubt be keen to pay a visit to her family home with little George at some point soon.
