Man arrested for murder of girlfriend

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office have arrested a man for the murder of his girlfriend.

The man, Jason Bringier, 32, originally told detectives that she accidentally shot herself, though evidence on scene indicated otherwise. During a third interview however he confessed.

Bringier is charged with second degree murder, illegal carrying of a firearm, obstruction of justice and possession of marijuana.

It happened at 1 a.m. on March 24 in the 3100 block of Toulon Drive.
