SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Police have arrested a Shreveport man in connection with several burglaries committed in the city over about three months.

Glenn Curtis Young Jr., 35 was arrested Tuesday after evidence found during a police probe linked him to at least eight different property crimes.

Shreveport police have tied Curtis to three incidents between January and February in the 200 block of Wall Street.

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

A Hollygrove man accused in two home invasions faces additional charges after police said a woman identified him as her attacker in another rape.

According to NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, investigators said the woman identified James Johnson, 21, as the man who sexually assaulted her near Cleveland Ave. and South Dorgenois St. on April 1. The victim picked him out of a photo lineup.

A spokesman with the New Orleans Police Department said Johnson has confessed to his role in a home invasion on Panola St.

Three men are behind bars after Shreveport police raided a hotel room Thursday afternoon and found pounds of marijuana and hash, and dozens of vials of hashish oil.

Police said information from an ongoing investigation led them to the hotel, in the 4900 block of Monkhouse Drive, search warrant in hand. There, they found about six pounds of high-grade marijuana, two pounds of hash and 10 ounces of hashish oil.

BRUSLY, LA (WAFB) -

Brusly Police Chief Jamie Whaley has been indicted.

A West Baton Rouge grand jury came back with a true bill of one count of malfeasance in office and one count of theft over $500. Both are felonies.

Whaley responded with this statement: "I really don't know what to say or feel right now. I'm shocked. I'm very very shocked."

Whaley is accused of using a department credit card to pay for gas used in his personal vehicle and boat.

A Shreveport police officer who was fired for violating departmental policy is back on the job.

"It's good to be back," said Matthew Prunty just seconds after hearing the unanimous decision by the board.

The police department hasn't given specific reasons for his termination but Matthew Prunty has told KSLA News 12 that he was fired after missing too many days because the department deemed him mentally unfit to return.

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Police want your help identifying a suspect who allegedly used a stolen credit card Tuesday at a Shreveport store.

Police think the card was stolen during the burglary of a South Shreveport home. It was used Tuesday to buy items at a convenience store on Monkhouse Drive.

This suspect may be responsible for other home burglaries and thefts from autos, police said.

Hammond police looking for murder suspect

HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) -

Investigators are looking for the person or persons responsible for the death of a Hammond man.

Hammond Police say they were called to the 1000 block of Phoenix Square Monday at about 11 p.m. after a resident reported a neighbor Brian Keith Chester was suffering from gunshot wounds. Chester said he was shot by a black male at his residence. He was transported to North Oaks Hospital where he later died.

An autopsy shows the victim was shot several times.

NEW ROADS, LA (WAFB) -

A high-ranking police officer may face charges related to an alleged Drunk Driving crash.

Capt. Mark Munson was off duty at the time. A Pointe Coupee Sheriff's deputy responding to the accident said he found a nearly empty bottle of liquor in Munson's vehicle. The deputy said he wasn't certified to give field sobriety tests and let Munson go when his wife came to pick him up.

A news conference is scheduled for Tuesday.
