A manager at a Burger King restaurant was shot during an armed robbery Sunday night, according to police.
The shooting happened just before 9:30 p.m., inside the Burger King at 1329 Whalley Ave. Police said two black males, wearing dark clothing, entered the restaurant and demanded money.
Both suspects were armed with handguns and one of the robbers shot the restaurant manager, said police.
"She had been shot once. The bullet struck both of her legs," said police spokesman, Officer David Hartman.
The 19-year-old manager, whose name was not released, was rushed to Yale-New Haven hospital and is listed in critical condition.
