Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal is expected to sign legislation Wednesday expanding gun rights in the state.

The bill, described by the  National Rifle Association’s lobbying arm as "the most comprehensive pro-gun reform legislation introduced in recent state history," expands the scope of public places where licensed owners are allowed to carry firearms.

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Tech has paid federal fines for its actions on the morning of April 16, 2007, when a lone gunman killed 32 people on the school's campus.

The U.S. Department of Education said Wednesday the university has paid two fines totaling $32,500 for violations of the Clery Act, which requires universities to issue timely warnings of campus threats.

QB Brewer transferring to Virginia Tech

Former Texas Tech quarterback Michael Brewer announced Sunday that he is transferring to Virginia Tech.

Brewer is eligible to play this season because he is graduating this spring.
