Delta Air Lines has serviced people flying into and out of Shreveport for more than eight decades, and Tuesday, local officials celebrated that milestone.

Shreveport Regional Airport hosted a ceremony in honor of the airline's 85 years winging in and out of the Port City. As Shreveport's largest carrier, Delta served more than 200,000 passengers in 2013.

Red and blue balloons, Delta's signature colors, decorated areas in the airport and cupcakes were given to passengers and celebrants.
