right uniteeIt's one year post-Charlottesville riots. The focus is upon race. Despite the signs of neo-nazism, klanism and alt right, the far right will be claiming that the Democratic party are the racists.

It's part of a pattern.

In the past three years, there seems to be an increase in tweets and Facebook posts that claim that the “real civil rights” political organization is the Republican Party and the real white Supremacists, are the Democratic Party.

This week, I happen to see this type of suggestion or overt proposition on social media, more than usual. It seemed to follow the spat between Donald Trump and Lebron James.

One Facebook friend posted a video that presented this narrative—that despite its claim for caring for the fate of the minorities, the Democratic Party have supported the worst in our society as it relates to race.

trump laughA new NFL season started last night, and there were more misguided National Anthem protests. Sadly, last night, several players used the opportunity to express their grievances against the country, instead of respecting a great symbol of the United States.

Last night, two players on the Miami Dolphins team knelt while another one raised his fist in protest. Another two members of the Philadelphia Eagles raised their fists. In Jacksonville, four members of the Jaguars stayed in the locker room while the National Anthem was played.

Before turning to the topic on everyone’s mind, the tweet that’s burning up the airwaves, the next person Donald Trump should fire is the misbegotten soul who failed to install portable air conditioners aimed at the president during his Saturday rally in Ohio. Trump said it was around 110 degrees in the smallish gym where he spoke and the heat ruined his new suit. The makeup artist who slathered meltable pancake on the president’s face, also, must go. Dislike Trump all you want, but he’s still president and should appear looking presidential, no matter how he acts, or what he says.

For years, The New York Times has been “failing,” according to President Donald Trump. It’s once sterling reputation as “the newspaper of record” has diminished significantly in recent years. The unadulterated liberalism of the newspaper and changing habits among readers has led to a massive decline in print subscribers and advertisers. While The New York Times has supplanted that revenue with digital subscribers and advertisers, the overall impact of the newspaper has certainly declined.

Donald Trump says Paul Manafort is being treated worse than Al Capone. A little history is in order. The fella who ordered Al Capone taken down was President Herbert Hoover who was tired of impudent gang murders in Chicago by America’s most famous gangster. Treasury Secretary, Andrew Mellon, who received the order, directed his treasury department to gather intelligence about Capone’s finances and, thereafter, history was writ.

The judge in the case of U.S. vs Capone, James H. Wilkerson, ran a rocket trial on the 23 charges facing Capone. It began on October 5, 1931 and concluded on October 18th of the same year with a guilty verdict. Ironically, Wilkerson bears more than a resemblance to special counsel Robert Mueller.

"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts or evidence.”

The three greatest recent human rights disasters are: Ukraine, Syria, and Libya.  In each nation countless tens of thousands have been killed, wounded, or displaced.  America played a key role in all three.

In the case of Syria, 370,000 named victims with estimates of 470,000 total dead. Nearly 1.88 million have been injured and 13.5 million displaced by the war.   This of a pre-war population of 22 million.  The war has raged seven years beginning in March 2011.

Call him “Everyman.”

For that is who Thomas Markle, Sr., the estranged, increasingly noisy dad of Meghan Markle, really is.

Thomas Markle is one of us.  He’s got three kids, one of whom just married into the British royal family.  He’s got a pension. He’s got a silver Volvo.  He’s got a penchant for McDonald’s and KFC cuisine.  He’s got a testy ex-wife.  He’s got Social Security.  He’s got a heart condition.  And now, he’s got a fan club.

Yup—I kid you not.

In the age of President Donald Trump, American journalism has died and it has been replaced by Democratic Party advocacy. No longer are there standards for “objective” reporting in news departments at broadcast networks, cable networks like CNN or MSNBC or mainstream news organizations. Liberal commentators are masquerading as “journalists” and it is being displayed on a regular basis. In the aftermath of the President’s news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, anchors on CNN and MSNBC announced their outright disgust with Trump’s performance, discarding even the pretense of objectivity.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame draws visitors from around the world to stride atop stars emblazoned with the names of celebrities, old and new, big and small. Tourists can pay an imaginative entrepreneur toting a box of gold metal letters that can be laid over a faux star with their own names that’s photographed as a memorial of their pilgrimage to the irresistible tackiness of Hollywood Boulevard where, if lucky, Al Pacino can be glimpsed ducking out of Musso-Frank Grill.  Among the stars on the baked L.A. street is Donald Trump’s.

Donald Trump and his ardent backers like Devin Nunes are fast to scream "witch hunt" at every turn. But, after reviewing the facts, there is a different story brewing.

Now that the FISA warrant is out, I have little doubt that Trump, Devin Nunes, Fox News and certain Republican lawmakers are cooking up narratives for political advantages, only. They surely don’t seek the truth.

For them, it's a matter of stirring the pot of falsehoods or be gobbled up with the facts.

President Trump insists that the FISA application supports his claims that the FBI and the DOJ have engaged in some nefarious actions against him. He and his loyalists have been accusing our intelligence community, the media, a few foreign intel services of Deep State. Arguably, now that everybody can read the FISA application, the four republican-appointed FISA judges should be included in the anti-Trump deceptions.
