Louisiana Governor Jindal criticized BP on the eve of the Deepwater Horizon BP oil spill disaster which rocked the world last year.  The Governor said that BP should make a downpayment on the restoration projects of the state and other Gulf States.

Jindal made the comments at a press conference following an annual luncheon on the Westbank in Jefferson Parish.

Jindal said there is erosion and damage and “time is not on our side”.

The governor also said that BP is “going to have to pay for it” and would want it “sooner rather than later.”
