Jury Convicts Former Illinois Gov. Blagovich In Federal Case
Written by  {ga=staffwriters}

The Federal Jury convicted Rod Blagovich, the former Illinois Governor of lying to federal agents.

While Blagojevich was convicted of a  minor charge   comparatively speaking ( giving a false statement to federal investigators)  the jury hung on 23 other counts which could be construed as a victory for the ex-Governor.

Jurors could not reach a unanimous decision on the serious corruption counts although it deliberated for 14 days.

The case has been a controversial political intrigue
