The politicians in Washington D.C. have failed the American people time and time again. This is especially true on the important issue of border security. The “Deep State” in Washington D.C. does not care that our country has possibly 30 million illegal immigrants. While there has been inaction on the glaring problem of border security, Congress has tried numerous times over the years to make it easier for illegal aliens to enter the United States and become American citizens. It took a massive effort of grassroots conservatives to defeat “immigration reform” legislation during the presidency of George W. Bush.

We have heard the chants for three years, “Build the Wall!” It was the number one reason why Americans elected Donald Trump as President in 2016. Unfortunately, it is the most glaring unfulfilled promise of the Trump presidency.

Although the President wants a border wall, he needs Congress to fund the construction. Until now, Congress has only provided an anemic $1.6 billion for the border wall. This pathetic amount is nowhere near the $25 billion that is actually needed to properly build a wall that will work.

The Louisiana Republican Party through its Chairman, Roger Villere slammed Governor John Bel Edwards, the Louisiana Democratic Party and Gumbo PAC for an email that was sent out by the Democrats bashing Congressman Ralph Abraham. Below is the LAGOP response and the original email by the Democrats

We need to know where Louisiana’s US Senator John Kennedy stands on President Donald Trump and on the issues in Congress, specifically, now, the government shut down.

Today, once again on CNN’s New Day, the freshman US Senator was asked about the shutdown.

Senator Lindsey Graham, golfing buddy of President Donald Trump has criticized White House staff Stephen Miller again for getting in the way of a DACA deal and a federal government shut down deal.

Can you believe that a meeting held in the oval office has sparked a controversy being heard around the world in which the debate being is "a-hole" vs. "a-house"? Instead of discussing a budget deal and the wall and whether the dreamers are facing a nightmare, not of their own choosing over an issue basically not over their own choosing, the topic of discussion, for better or worse, has degenerated to what was said at a presidential meeting. The DACA kids and young adults came to America because their parents wanted a better life and as a result, the parents, broke the law and technically speaking, so did the kids.  So, who should be blamed for this conversation meltdown?
