On Tuesday, LED Secretary Don Pierson issued the following statement about Bell Helicopter’s lack of performance at its aircraft assembly center in Lafayette, Louisiana, where the company first proposed assembling 505 JetRanger X helicopters and later proposed substituting 525 Relentless helicopter subassembly operations.

Today, two announcements have hit the wires which indicate that a sense of optimism could be coming.

First, a press release measuing $1.49 billion in good news. The second is a statement by Governor John Bel Edwards promoting economic growth this first quarter of 2018 in GDP.

The award was given for DXC Technology’s commitment to establish a Digital Transformation Center in New Orleans, an initiative that will create 2,000+ jobs in the global IT and business enterprise sector.
