During the eight years Barack Obama was President, Democrats were united. He was the unifying force that held the party together. By bringing in Hillary Clinton as his Secretary of State, he healed the wounds from the bruising 2008 presidential race. During his re-election campaign of 2012, Obama was not challenged for the Democratic presidential nomination and won another term as President.

I am convinced that recent developments in the Trump Russia controversy have further tarnished the reputations of Attorney General Bill Barr, the national Republican Party and specifically, the conservative Freedom Caucus.

Instead of trying to get to the truth about the results of a critical investigation, all three have joined together for partisan reasons to prevent information flow we need to understand our past. Yet, they loudly demand that all stones be unturned to investigate the investigators )in a probe I do hope gets to the whole truth).

Trump golfs while the US facing a real emergency

trump golf fire 0

By the way, did you know that the United States has been suffering from conditions so horrific, so frightening, so urgent, that the President of the United States has saved the day by calling a national emergency. All this, so he could get his funds to build his border edifice.

After making that declaration, he went to play golf for the weekend at Mar Lago in Florida.

Anti-Trump, Democrat freak show has now begun

freakshow 2

Now that the mid-terms are over, and the new Congress has started, political observers have already started to focus on the 2020 presidential campaign. Every election, it begins earlier, especially in this case because the Democrats and their supporters in the media are obsessed with defeating President Donald Trump.

The hatred from the left for Donald Trump is off the charts and it is getting worse all the time. This anger is fueling the 2020 presidential contest for Democrats and, as a result, contenders are moving to the far left to pick up support.

security through strength 2

In 2016, the American people elected Donald Trump as the President of the United States. His top campaign pledge was to build a border wall. It was the most popular slogan at his rallies and at the GOP 2016 Convention in Cleveland.

After two years of waiting, it is time for the President to deliver on his pledge. Of course, nothing happened with the Republicans in charge of Congress and nothing is happening now that the Democrats control the House of Representatives. Despite years of strong statements advocating a wall and border security, top Democrats are adamantly opposed to giving President Trump any funds for a border wall. It has been called “racist,” “immoral,” and “ineffective,” among other highly critical comments.

shutdown wall 6

We have heard the chants for three years, “Build the Wall!” It was the number one reason why Americans elected Donald Trump as President in 2016. Unfortunately, it is the most glaring unfulfilled promise of the Trump presidency.

Although the President wants a border wall, he needs Congress to fund the construction. Until now, Congress has only provided an anemic $1.6 billion for the border wall. This pathetic amount is nowhere near the $25 billion that is actually needed to properly build a wall that will work.

Over the 20 years of the Ringside Politics shows, we have established an annual contest of awarding our “Turkey of the Year.” This Thanksgiving tradition was started to recognize those individuals who distinguished themselves in a particularly idiotic way. It seems appropriate since turkeys are commonly regarded as one of the dumbest animals on the planet.

The U.S. economy is the strongest in the world and it shows no signs of slowing down. Today, another incredible economic report was released as the September unemployment rate dropped to 3.7%, the lowest since 1969. Among Hispanics and Latinos, the unemployment rate was only 4.5%, the all-time lowest level in history, while among African Americans, the unemployment rate was 6.0%, near the record low.

Not only are people finding work, but wages are increasing. In September, salaries were raised an average of 2.8%, while the typical work week remained steady at 34.5 hours.

After several weeks of seeing President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee abused by Democrats, grassroots Republicans are furious. Judge Brett Kavanaugh has been accused of gang rape, exposure, groping, sexual harassment, drunkenness, rowdiness and uncontrollable anger.

During the ascendancy of Donald Trump to the top of the Republican Party and the presidency, the media has devoted plenty of attention to the in-fighting in the GOP. Trump overthrew the establishment by defeating 16 Republican challengers and winning the nomination.

Ever since then, a dedicated band of GOP “Never Trumpers” has criticized the President’s every move and given plenty of support to the media and Democrat opponents of his agenda. Fortunately, President Trump has marginalized this group and solidified his support among Republicans. Recent polls have shown the President maintaining an astounding 90% approval rating among Republican voters.
