trump border funds

We’re hitting the last day of  2018, with thousands of men and women on furlough or staying on their jobs without pay due to a government shutdown.  Wouldn’t it be nice if, just for one last day of 2018, we could make sense of this border wall debate separating them from their paychecks?

Can't we, as a New Year's resolution, make up our mind that common sense and facts prime over politics?

Apparently not.

After all, we’re talking about The Wall.

treason turkey 2

Is the long dark mystery coming to an end?  Are we at long last getting details whether Trump campaign conspired with the Russians or their agents during the 2016 presidential elections?

is this why the President, with tear gas on the border, healthcare in confusion, Ukraine and Russia in a staredown, is blasting out an image of Bob Mueller and Rob Rosenstein and a gang of others being locked up for treason?

I ask these questions with some sorrow. Darn! Tomorrow is not Thanksgiving. That was last week. Just imagine how the Thanksgiving table would react if we finally got to some of the really meaty stuff dividing our families for the past two years. Just imagine the powerful Trump-memes we could share!

chick laIs there too much “sky is falling” projections for John Schroder in the upcoming Louisiana Treasurer’s Race? Perhaps, and possibly, this publication has contributed to the suspense and speculation.

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote that Schroder might have a very difficult time getting out the vote, sufficiently so, his opponent, Derrick Edwards, an African American Democrat, might somehow squeeze into the victory column. I noted that there were no real major contested elections in Louisiana other than the race for Orleans Parish. There is one election, a Northshore House race between two Republicans fighting for Schroder’s old House position, which he vacated to run for Treasurer.

faucheux fb liveThe New Orleans Mayor’s race is a week and a half away and pollster Ron Faucheux, who performed a poll for WWL TV and The Advocate, contends that it is anybody’s race among the top three candidates—Michael Bagneris, LaToya Cantrell and Desiree Charbonnet.  Moreso, with high undecided vote and a tight race, Faucheux believes it all comes down to the last ten days and that the voters are still shopping.

heart scar donCan you feel the love?

Remember Anthony Scaramucci, the brash New Yorker who abruptly appeared in the press room within the Trump White House, did some cussing and dissing, orchestrated the removals of former Press secretary Sean Spicer and the Republican Chairman Reince Priebus?
