Saints strong safety Roman Harper has been named to the  Pro Bowl to replace Green Bay Packers safety Nick Collins, who will be playing in the Super Bowl after the Packers beat the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship Game.

The fifth-year pro registered 98 tackles, three sacks, six forced fumbles and an interception in 15 games this season.

Harper was named to the 2010 Pro Bowl as an injury replacement for Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson. But because he played in the Super Bowl with the rest of the Saints, he was replaced by Eagles safety Quintin Mikell.

Several other players have been named to replace Super Bowl-bound Steelers and Packers. Also going to Honolulu:

*Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield will either replace cornerback Charles Woodson or Tremon Williams from the Packers. Winfield joins teammate Adrian Peterson on the NFC team.. Defensive tackle Kevin Williams was picked as an injury replacement, but won't participate because his wife is expecting a baby.

*Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. After initially being selected as an alternate, Fitzgerald wil replace Packers receiver Greg Jennings. This will be the fifth Pro Bowl appearance for Fitzgerald.

*Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali and safety Eric Berry. The duo will make their intitial Pro Bowl appearance, joining wide receiver Dwayne Bowe of LSU, quarterback Matt Cassel, running back Jamaal Charles and guard Brian Waters on the AFC squad.
