On Thursday, the American Heart Society held its local Go West for Women luncheon at the Sheraton Hotel on Canal Street to a packed audience or shall we say a sea of Red.
Below are photos of the event and a Bayoubuzz video giving just a glimpse of what transpired at this painful yet celebratory event.
Also below is a short clip from one of the speakers who reflected upon being born with a hole in her heart and how her mother took care of her through the years. Unfortunately, part of her story is now a swath of the challenges of our national red fabric of life.
