The Saints are tied with the Falcons and Jets at 12-1 to win Super Bowl, according to the latest Las Vegas Hilton Race and Sports Book odds, updated to reflect recent free agent trades. The Pats are favorites at 6-1 with the Steelers next at 10-1

Gregg Williams on Saints signing DT Aubrayo Franklin: "Patrick Willis (49ers LB) is crying in his milk because we got Aubrayo Franklin."...Second-round draft pick Drake Nevis of LSU is starting along the Colts' defensive line. Tommie Harris will show up on Thursday

SAINTS NOTEBOOK: Saints free agent center Jonathan Goodwin reached a three-year deal with the 49ers on Wednesday. Goodwin was one of the top offensive linemen remaining on the free agent market. He played the past five seasons with the Saints, helping them win the Super Bowl. At 32, he has plenty of knowledge and experience, but no longer possesses the quickness of his youth.

Goodwin will receive $11 million over three seasons with the 49ers.

The Eagles have signed free agent defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove. He will compete for a backup job. He is entering his eighth NFL season, almost entirely as a reserve. He played for the Saints for the past two years, playing in 14 games in 2010 with no starts. He had one sack last season, five in 2009. He's considered versatile enough to play end or tackle, but will go to the Eagles as a tackle. He was suspended for the entire 2008 season for failed drug tests.

Patrick Michael of Yahoo! Sports rates the Saints' five top undrafted offensive players in their history; 1)  (2007-present); 2) Lance Moore (2006 -present); 3) Aaron Stecker (2004-08); 4) Boo Williams (2002-04);  5) Guido Merkens (1980-85). Honorable mention undrafted Saints offensive players: Jake Delhomme, John Fourcade, Chris Ivory, Andy Livingston, Jamar Nesbit, Emanuel Zanders...

...Is Randy Moss a Hall of Famer? Yes...The annual Princeton Review national survey of the `10 top party schools for 2011 is Ohio University followed by Georgia and Ole Miss. LSU ranks No. 13. Brigham Young tops the list of stone-cold sober schools for the 14th straight year.  I would offer LSU condolences or congratulations for no longer being in the top 10, depending on one's perspective. Has Baton Rouge gone dry?..

....Parting thought: "A new type of broom came out and it's sweeping the nation."...
