It was Drew Brees and Lance Moore to the rescue as the New Orleans Saints topped the Houston Texans 40-33 in the Superdome in New Orleans.

The Saints were dominated by the Texans throughout the first half as its defense collapsed.  However, the Texans did not capitalize  being in the Saints red zone having to rely upon field goals instead of touchdowns and leading New Orleans by only 16-10 in the first half.

The Saints and the Texans are now 2-1.

With 2:42 left in the game, for the win, rookie Mark Ingram powered through the Texans defensive line for the final touchdown.  Drew  Brees hit Moore for the second two-point conversion in a row using the same extra point pass-catch play.  Earlier in the quarter, Brees connected with Lance Moore for a 16-yd TD and the  2-pt conversionputting the Saints up by a 32-26advantage with  7:10 to go in the 4th quarter.

The Texans then came back down the field and scored on a freak pass deflection which went for a 4th quarter touchdown putting the Texans ahead by 33-32.
