adrian-petersonThe Vikings expect to get running back Adrian Peterson back against the Saints. He has missed the past three weeks with an ankle injury...The Vikings are tied with the Colts for lowest number of interceptions with six. At times, the Vikings play with four backup defensive backs. They have gone eight straight games without an interception, which ties an  NFL record...

Musgrave was asked how much the return of Peterson open things up with his speed compared to Tony Gerhart:

"Both of them have done a great job for us this season. We've had success and we want to continue that in the next three games, regardless of who is our halfback. It'll be fun to have Adrian  back. We've missed him."

Vikings offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave, when asked if Saints DC Gregg Williams is blitzing as much as he ever has: "He does, but it's by game plan. They strike to determine the opposing team's offense does best and takes that away from them, and that's by the blitz. So be it if that's by rushing three people like he did in past years against Tom Brady."The Redskins will induct the head coach and defensive coordinator Richie Petitbon into the team's Ring of Fame before the Dec. 24 game with the Vikings at FedEx Field. Petitbon was a quarterback at Jesuit and Tulane before he was drafted by the Bears. He was a safety on the "Over the Hill Gang" with the Redskins that played in Super Bowl VII. Prior to that he was a standout for the Bears and a four-time Pro Bowler performer. He is only one of three Redskins to play in all five of the team's Super Bowl appearances. Rosey Taylor of New Orleans was the other safety with the Redskins and Bears.Former LSU offensive coordinator Gary Crowton will not return to Maryland. He has expressed  interest in the  Colorado State job...The Redskins have placed former LSU safety LaRon Landry on injured reserve because of a strained Achilles...If the Colts go 0-16 this season it's doubtful coach Jim Caldwell will return...Ex Saints coach Wade Phillips has undergone kidney and gall  bladder surgery...
