vance-videosWhere some see New Orleans problems, others visualize challenges and hope.  While some think New Orleans, the bygone, others think New Orleans, reinvented.  One of those who smells magnolias rather than the New Orleans mildew is songwriter, producer, bandleader and often-clown, Vince Vance.

 Vince Vance often views the wonders of the “City that Care Forgot”; in his latest music video, he’s portrays it as a city of wonders always worth caring for and never forgetting.

The music video is an ode yet upbeat infectuous tribute  to New Orleans, a remake of another famous New Orleans musician and composer, Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.

Armstrong’s memorable classic and Vance’s vibrant rendition will be featured in an fundraising event on behalf of some of our young children who might long to see the New Orleans flowers blum and rainbows glow. {snippet 27}

At a fundraiser and CD release party, Saturday May 17, Vance’s “New Orleans: a Wonderful World in Itself” will be featured at Rock ‘n Bowl.   One hundred percent of the money raised from the Silent & Live Auctions will go to Pediatric Oncology Unit Children's Hospital.  Lamarque Ford and Deanie's Seafood are both Gold Sponsors.

Ronnie LaMarque will perform the original Satchmo version of What a Wonderful World, followed by Vance's performance of his version of the classic.

In addition to his newest creation, Vance has released numerous songs capturing the essence of New Orleans, including I Am New Orleans, Cajun Christmas, and Mardi Gras Time and Louisiana lady.

Vance says that he has "tried to bring attention to classic song arranged in [his] own way." In this release, he plans to "target a younger audience and expose them to the melody and harmony in a Modern Dance Version that shows the World our wonderful world, New Orleans."
