paul-hollisUS Senate Mary Landrieu's Campaign took the opportunity to slam former Republican contender for US Senate, Congressman Bill Cassidy and their "allies" after the Louisiana District Court, threw out the controversial residency suit lodged against her.

In doing so, she also reminded the public that Republican Congressman Cassidy has not agreed to debate Landrieu for the seat.

Here is an email from the campaign:

Judge Orders Hollis To Pay All Court Fees

Statement attributable to Landrieu campaign Communications Director Fabien Levy following the dismissal of the residency suit against Senator Landrieu:
“Today’s decision by the judge to throw out this frivolous lawsuit highlights just how desperate Congressman Cassidy and his allies have become in an attempt to win this Senate seat. The judge was clear – Senator Landrieu resides in Louisiana and is qualified to run for the Senate, as she has three times in the past. For the sake of Louisiana voters, it’s time we end this sideshow and focus on the issues important in this race. Congressman Cassidy can begin by showing some courage and agreeing to debate Senator Landrieu and answering questions of real substance for Louisiana voters.”

Judge Wilson Fields said the challenge could be filed after the election, set for Nov. 4.  Landrieu says she lives with her parents in New Orleans when in Louisiana, and is registered to vote in Louisiana.

Debating Mary Landrieu's house: A Louisiana US Senate campaign issue?

Hollis claimed Landrieu is a "full-time, permanent inhabitant" of Washington, D.C.

The controversy made national news last week.
