On Politics with a Punch, we have now enjoyed over eight years of poking fun at
Louisiana politics. The show is Louisiana's version of Politically Incorrect.
We are excited to announce that our next show will be held at our original home, the beautiful Le Chat Noir, 715 St. Charles Avenue. This is a great venue for a very special show. Join us as we celebrate the holidays and enjoy another fabulous panel.
The show is scheduled for THURSDAY DECEMBER 16. As always, it will be a hilarious and entertaining program, as we conclude 2010. As part of the festivities, the incomparable "piano man" Armand St. Martin will perform at 7 p.m.
As usual, we have assembled an outstanding line-up and will announce our final panel soon. Here is a list of a few of the stars who will join us:
- Caroline Fayard, Atty, Former Lt. Gov. Candidate, Rising Political Star
- Tom Gregory, Emmy Winning TV Personality, National Headlining Comic
- Mikko, Comedian, Writer, Playwright, Actor, Napoleon Impersonator
- John Osterlind, Afternoon Drive Host on Rush Radio, WRNO 99.5 FM
- Sammy Steele, Celebrity Hairdresser, Philanthropist, Business Leader
- Vince Vance, Hall of Fame Musician, Bandleader, New Orleans Legend
With the new Republican Congress, a new Democratic congressman in New Orleans, another term for David Vitter and the many travels of Bobby Jindal, there will be plenty of great topics. As always, it will be a Prime Time for Punch!
As an added treat, to celebrate Christmas, Vince will perform his Christmas classic "All I Want for Christmas is You."
As usual, the doors open at 6 p.m. for happy hour and socializing. Our show starts at our usual time of 8:00 p.m.
At Punch, we guarantee everyone will have a good time, and anyone who has attended one of our events can attest to that fact.
Be sure to reserve your tickets at
[email protected] or #504-669-6076.
Tickets are only $15.00 per person/$25.00 per couple. To PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE ON-LINE or learn more about Politics with a Punch, visit our website:

PASTELS: A Live Musical Painting
With music by The Cliff Hines Quintet
Directed by Zac Manuel and the Greenhouse Collective
Where: CAC Warehouse
When: Dec. 16, 2010; 6pm - 9pm
Doors open at 6pm, show starts promptly at 7pm
"Pastels" is an original song from local progressive jazz band The Cliff
Hines Quintet's most recent album, "Like Mystics of Old". The concept of
"Pastels" is to create a music video in real time, a choreographed
performance in which the band will be painted, literally, from head to toe.
Ten New Orleans area youths, ages 10-17, will be responsible for painting
the band as they perform the title song. This process will be filmed. To
achieve a certain technical effect, the band will perform the song at half
speed, giving the kids approximately twelve minutes to cover as much of the
band and their instruments as possible. This music video is a follow-up to
Zac's video for the band's song "What Choice Do I Have?" which was one of 11
finalists in a national competition sponsored by Dosomething..org and Vh1's
"Save the Music" to raise money and awareness for arts education. Before
the filming of the video, the band will perform a set of their latest music
off of their upcoming CD "Traveler", accompanied by some of New Orleans'
most talented dancers including choreography and performance by Cirque du
Soleil dancer and NOCCA alumnus Hannah Weber. The Cliff Hines Quintet
features Cliff Hines on guitar, Sasha Masakowski on vocals, Paul Thibodeaux
on drums, Jasen Weaver on bass, and Andrew McGowan on keys.
Expect great live music, drinks, loads of paint and tons of fun!
Where: CAC Warehouse
When: Dec. 16, 2010; 6pm - 9pm
Doors open at 6pm, show starts promptly at 7pm
Price: $10 general admission | $6 students with ID | FREE children under 14
Tickets to be sold at the door ONLY.
