The BP gulf oil spill is dredging up a real strain of relations between the Obama administration and the State of Louisiana and is dredging up acrimonious issues over barrier islands that took weeks to resolve.
Yesterday, federal and state authorities fought over the oil drilling moratorium and dredging of sand for barrier islands.  

President Obama remove General Stanley McChrystal's from his command in the Afghanistan war because of the  general’s comments in the Rolling Stone magazine. 

According to the AP, Interior Secretary Salazar will impose the drilling moratorium despite a court ruling today lifting the moratorium.Earlier today, a  federal judge in New Orleans lifted the moratorium.  Numerous Louisiana officials have urged President Obama to not appeal  appeal the court ruling.

Obama Golfs While BP Oil In Gulf Burns

While this nation is involved in two wars against terrorists overseas and a war in the Gulf of Mexico against the biggest oil spill in world history, our President continues to act like he is on perpetual vacation.
This morning the Incident Command in Houma said that two vacuum barges in Plaquemines Parish were still not compliant with safety concerns. 

The BP Oil Spill has taken on a life of its own.
