At the Simmons College leadership conference in Boston on Thursday, former first lady Michelle Obama praised her husband’s presidency while taking a veiled swipe at President Trump. She said that her husband’s administration was “like having the good parent at home.” In Michelle Obama’s warped view, her husband filled the national role of a “responsible parent, the one who told you to eat your carrots and go to bed on time.”
Anyone who has ever worked for the U.S. who had to get to their office through three sets of locked doors is outraged by the fact that White House staff without permanent clearances are handling classified materials the way a paperboy handles the news. Anyone who ever wondered if the peace lecture they attended with a classmate would affect their clearance application is shaking their head. Anyone who ever felt outrage at Edward Snowden, or Chelsea Manning, is fuming over what’s going on at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
It just doesn’t stop. Donald Trump and now his attorney, Michael Cohen, who paid what appears to be hush money to Stormy Daniels, just seem to keep on giving. Like the energizer bunny, I suppose, it just doesn't stop.
As much as the media might want to move on to the state of the economy and infrastructure, the Trump team just makes it impossible.

Am I living in a parallel universe? Has the world turned upside down?
Back in the 1970’s the Washington Post released the “Pentagon Papers” secreted out of that agency by one Daniel Ellsberg. No one had ever dared up to that time to take classified information and release it to the public in the name of patriotism. He took substantial risk-informing the American people about a major event impacting their lives and the nature of our government.
The president last week suggested that the nation establish a yearly military parade to honor the service and the sacrifice of the current military and our veterans. He spoke of it as “a unifying moment for the country.” Almost immediately, the Trump naysayers jumped all over the idea as nothing more than “pandering patriotism.” “Tanks, but no tanks,” was the opinion of the Washington Post.
President Donald Trump says the media is FAKE NEWS and not reporting on major news stories hurtful to Democrats, such as missing FBI text messages. Some Republican leaders and Fox News Network promote the “Deep State” is also a “Secret Society” of FBI agents planning to destroy the Trump presidency. One Republican Senator states FBI members are meeting off-site to conspire some type of Trump overthrow. Devin Nunes, the duty-bound head of the House Intelligence Committee has created a memo which almost guarantees the destruction of the FBI and Robert Mueller. They all claim the end is near, Mueller is about to go.
Did Donald Trump or his campaign (or anyone else) violate the federal campaign finance law--assuming an alleged $130,000 was paid to Stormy Daniels by Michael Cohen to silence her from talking about an possible sexual affair in 2006?
This is a question that emanates from a legal filing by Common Cause early this week.
We need to know where Louisiana’s US Senator John Kennedy stands on President Donald Trump and on the issues in Congress, specifically, now, the government shut down.
Today, once again on CNN’s New Day, the freshman US Senator was asked about the shutdown.
Senator Lindsey Graham, golfing buddy of President Donald Trump has criticized White House staff Stephen Miller again for getting in the way of a DACA deal and a federal government shut down deal.
Today, US Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana once again appeared on Cable morning news. The topic for discussion today was President Donald Trump, the immigration bill, possible shut down of the federal government and what he would do if he had control over the situation.
