So often, I hear my pro-Trump defenders claim the media hates him, they are evil, fake newsers and enemies of the people.
I try to tell them that yes, the media is biased against Trump, but for good reasons. He lies or exaggerates so often that the media is simply challenging his or his administration comments, to get the facts.
That’s what they do. That's their job. It is also human nature. When you know that someone is not being honest, you make extra efforts to get to the truth.
All Americans should embrace the First Amendment and our precious rights, including the freedom of the press. Clearly, the United States has a free press because 95% of the media are opposed to the President of the United States and there is no effort to prevent them from operating.
No U.S. President has ever faced a more hostile press than Donald Trump. Despite the intense opposition, he provides regular opportunities for the press to ask questions, such as last week’s White House news conference that spanned 87 minutes.
The President’s first post mid-term election was a wild scene at the White House. It was an 87-minute marathon with almost universally hostile
John Kennedy has become somewhat of a folk hero on cable TV since his moving from the Louisiana Treasurer’s office to the US Senate. He’s somewhat of the go-to guy for quips and quotes on the burning issues of the day.
This morning, he appeared on CNN’s New Day. The issue? Of course, President Donald Trump and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.
Since their joint appearance on Monday, there has been much speculation, outrage, counter-outrage by the media, the left and the right over whether Trump presented a strong image last week at the NATO conference and in Finland, at the summit.
President Donald Trump says the media is FAKE NEWS and not reporting on major news stories hurtful to Democrats, such as missing FBI text messages. Devin Nunes, the duty-bound head of the House Intelligence Committee has created a memo which almost guarantees the destruction of the FBI and Robert Mueller. They all claim the end is near, Mueller is about to go.

Today, once again on CNN’s New Day, the freshman US Senator was asked about the shutdown.
Every day it is becoming clearer that CNN, the once proud ratings giant and unquestioned cable network news leader, has become a total laughingstock. It has literally “jumped the shark,” meaning that a once proud broadcaster has become absurd. The original definition referred to the fifth season premiere episode of the hit show Happy Days, in which the main character, Fonzie literally jumps a shark while water skiing with his signature leather jacket. It is also a perfect reference to a broadcast network like CNN that has diminished greatly in quality and popularity.
One could expect that the Emmy’s would shoot at Hollywood’s favorite target Donald Trump, last night. But, did anyone anticipate that one of the President’s top protagonists would shoot at himself during the popular television show? That’s what essentially occurred Sunday night when former Press Secretary-interim Communications Director, played a cameo role as Saturday Night Live’s Melissa McCarthy, who shot to TV fame playing, of course, Spicer.
