It had been a long day at the U.S. Senate as the Judiciary Committee heard from both Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Millions of Americans witnessed an incredible spectacle as both people claimed 100% confidence in their recollection of events.
During the questioning of Dr. Ford, Republicans turned over the duties to an Arizona prosecutor who seemed to miss many opportunities to highlight discrepancies in the statements of the accuser. Of course, the Senate Democrats spent almost all their time praising Dr. Ford for her courage.
Can you believe that a meeting held in the oval office has sparked a controversy being heard around the world in which the debate being is "a-hole" vs. "a-house"? Instead of discussing a budget deal and the wall and whether the dreamers are facing a nightmare, not of their own choosing over an issue basically not over their own choosing, the topic of discussion, for better or worse, has degenerated to what was said at a presidential meeting. The DACA kids and young adults came to America because their parents wanted a better life and as a result, the parents, broke the law and technically speaking, so did the kids. So, who should be blamed for this conversation meltdown?
Today, US Senator Dick Durbin questioned the Secretary of Homeland Security, Kiersten Nielsen about the now infamous Immigration reform meeting that occurred last Thursday in the oval office. During that meeting, President Donald Trump is said to have used S--t hole (or is it now S--t house?) in describing certain black and brown-populated countries.
Many Trump supporters on social media, once again, are calling the Haitian, African, South American comments as just more liberal PC and hate coming from the President’s antagonists.
Perhaps it is PC to them. But more than anything else for those not bothered by a long trail of hateful, despicable comments by Donald Trump is the simple fact, we once again, are witnessing another episode of the Trump administration and President Donald Trump, lying.
