gay art cake2 3The U.S. Supreme Court just heard arguments in MASTERPIECE CAKESHOP, LTD., ET AL., vs. COLORADO CIVIL RIGHTS COMMISSION, a case that will determine if bakery shops will be required to make wedding cakes for homosexual couples. The resulting decision is bound to be divisive and, once again, Justice Anthony Kennedy, likely, will be the determining vote.

landryGovernor John Bel Edwards has expressed his disappointment about a 1st Circuit Court Decision today involving job discrimination in his ongoing battle with the Attorney General Jeff Landry.  The Appellate Court today sided with Landry over the issue whether the Governor can protect gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people working for state government from discrimination, harassment, and firing.

scouts girlsAnother one of our great national institutions, the Boy Scouts of America, has officially lost its way. This week, the Boy Scouts formally opened their doors to girls. This act of inclusion was wisely not followed by the Girl Scouts, who will remain an exclusively female organization.
